"I photographed Vincent Gallo in 1984. At that time, he was a great kid. He was an artist and he was working a lot with rust. He used to make these really nice sculptural pieces, made out of rusted metal. We shared a passion for motorcycles and I remember that he used to go upstate on weekends and race his Yamaha 250. When he came back on Monday or Tuesday, he would ring me up or we’d see each other at a club and he would tell me all about the race" - Edo Bertoglio
